When Jim sees the wall of SpongeBob portraits, he figures it is a thing implemented after he retired. Later, the wall of portraits come to life and encourage SpongeBob to fight against Squidward for the reward. However, Squidward tells SpongeBob it is a waste of time.
SpongeBob tells Squidward about the Employee of the Month Award and shows him the wall of his portraits. Since these numbers exceed 12, 24, or even 36, it shows he has worked for many years. Unlike Squidward, SpongeBob has worked hard for many months to have accumulated these awards.
It appears to have many picture frames with SpongeBob's face in them, which correspond to the number of months SpongeBob has worked.
